Chiara Lo Prete, is an Assistant Professor in the John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering at Penn State, with expertise in power and natural gas resilience and economics, the impacts of wind generation on transmission systems, electricity market design and the impacts of environmental policies on electricity markets (more information can be found here). Dr. Lo Prete is looking for motivated students with a background in economics, statistics and optimization, who would already have (or are about to complete) a Master’s degree, and are interested in conducting interdisciplinary research in energy economics.
